Packaging users not only pay attention to the beauty and logistics performance of packaging products, but also pay attention to the heat sealing strength of packaging products. Because the heat sealing strength of packaging products directly affects the packaging speed, shrinkage effect, transportation and sales.
The factors affecting the sealing strength of heat sealer and their solutions
In the actual production, no matter for the bag products or the coil products used in the automatic packaging production line, the manufacturers control the heat sealing strength as one of the most important quality indicators. Combined with the actual production experience, SNCPACK makes a simple analysis of the factors affecting the sealing strength of the heat sealing machine, and suggests the corresponding solutions:
1. Heat Seal Temperature
Heat sealing temperature directly affects the heat sealing strength of plastic composite packaging products. So the sealing temperature is the most important factor affecting the sealing, and the low temperature will affect the failure of the film to fuse and seal, but the high temperature will also lead to the overscalding of the film, resulting in cracks.
Heat sealer will be equipped with temperature controller, SNCPACK heat sealer can ensure that the sealing temperature difference is plus or minus 5 degrees, to ensure that the sealing strength of the heat sealing machine will not be unstable because of the knife edge temperature difference. In addition, please refer to the sealing temperature of the following different films, POF film: 130 C to 170 C; but some high shrinkage films need to reach 190 C; PE film: 120 C-150 C
2. Sealing time of heat sealer
The heat sealing time of the automatic pack machine is determined by the speed of the machine. Then under the condition that sealing temperature and pressure are constant, if the longer the heat sealing time is, then the sealing is stronger. However, if the heat-sealing time is too long, as well as the heat-sealed part of the film will appear wrinkling and uneven, which will seriously affect the appearance quality of the product.
The sealing time can usually be adjusted according to the heat sealing temperature. under the condition that the film will not be scalded, the higher the temperature, cause the lower sealing time to increase the speed of packing machine. Therefore the field operator is required to make the best testing according to the packaging speed and film quality, and the heat sealing time is usually less than 1 second.



3. Sealing pressure
In order to ensure the heat sealing strength of plastic composite flexible packaging, the sealing pressure should be moderate and uniform in the heat sealing process. If the heat seal pressure is not enough or uneven, it will cause the heat seal part to produce air bubbles and virtual welding, resulting in poor heat seal.
The sealing pressure is caused by the cylinder or motor that controls the knife arm. If the sealing is not firm under the appropriate temperature and heat sealing time, please check the air pressure of the cylinder or the sealing strength of the motor. General equipment will mark the corresponding air pressure requirements or sealing and cutting origin position.
4. Horizontal pressing position of heat sealer
The sealing system of heat sealer is generally composed of a knife arm and a heat-resistant rubber seat, and the best sealing state is that the sealing knife fits seamlessly with the rubber base when it is cut off; if they cannot maintain a horizontal seamless state during pressing, it will cause part of the sealing line to break. At this time, through the manual sealing and cutting function of the machine, we can check whether they can be tightly pressed (seamlessly) when the sealing knife is pressed with the glue. If not, there are corresponding spring support points on the knife seat and the glue seat, which can be adjusted accordingly to keep them horizontal.
